Delaware Valley University (DelVal), a private comprehensive institution located in the charming town of Doylestown, PA, invites applications and nominations for the vice president of enrollment management position. Originally an agricultural college, DelVal was founded in 1896 and has grown into an academically rigorous interdisciplinary university dedicated to the sciences and liberal arts. DelVal consists of four schools: Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Business and Humanities, Life and Physical Sciences, and Graduate and Professional Studies and offers more than 25 undergraduate majors and several master's, adult education, and doctoral degree programs. DelVal’s Experience360 Program, which all undergraduates are required to complete, was named the 2019 Outstanding Experiential Education Program by the National Society for Experiential Education (NSEE). The Position

The Vice President for Enrollment Management (VPEM) oversees all aspects of the undergraduate admissions and financial aid operations and is responsible for providing leadership and coordination for a comprehensive enrollment management strategy that is fully integrated with the University’s strategic plan, and consistent with the goals, mission, and resources of DelVal. The VPEM is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the specific programs, services and functions designed to meet institutional objectives related to enrollment management to optimize yield and net tuition revenue. The VPEM is responsible for developing and executing a multi-year and annual comprehensive enrollment plan with appropriate goals that include strategies to recruit and enroll traditional undergraduate students. The VPEM is also responsible for developing annual admissions and financial aid forecasts and budgets; leading and motivating the admissions and financial aid teams to ensure that enrollment goals are met; implementing best practices; developing and implementing an integrated enrollment marketing plan in partnership with the associate vice president of marketing & communications; and collaborating with athletics and others across the campus to achieve enrollment goals. The VPEM collects, analyzes, and presents data needed for policy development and decision making; prepares comprehensive enrollment reports, proposals, and presentations; and ensures planning for key committees and board meetings.

The vice president for enrollment management reports to the President and serves on the President’s senior leadership team responsible for stewardship and implementation of the strategic plan. The new VPEM will be a strategic partner with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Vice President for Campus Life and Inclusive Excellence on retention analysis and strategy. Additionally, the VPEM is a member of the Board of Trustees Committee on Enrollment and Marketing. Current direct reports to the VPEM include the executive director of undergraduate admissions, director of financial aid and the administrative coordinator for enrollment management. There are 25 staff members in the enrollment management division.

Qualifications

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a minimum of seven years of enrollment management experience in higher education (private college or university preferred) in an administrative or supervisory capacity with evidence of progressively increasing responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to lead the strategic enrollment planning process, strong data and trend analysis skills and have significant experience in developing and implementing innovative and effective enrollment management activities. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated administrative and management skills, along with strong leadership and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across campus and promote a positive environment for recruitment and retention. The ideal candidate will effectively represent the University with external and internal audiences and stakeholders. Strong initiative and ability to devise solutions to complex problems and effectively manage multiple long and short term strategies and objectives is expected. The successful candidate must believe in and persuasively articulate the unique mission and value proposition of DelVal. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and CRM systems, and budget oversight. A strong understanding of financial aid and leveraging and the impact it has on both the students as well as the university will be important factors in the selection of the new vice president for enrollment management.
